A Night to remember at Cozzo Italian Restaurant
Cozzo Italian Restaurant: Last weekend, I visited Cozzo Italian Restaurant, located on White Cross Street in London. Known for its authentic Italian cuisine and cosy ambiance, the restaurant promised a delightful dining experience. Here’s a detailed account of my visit.
First Impressions
As I approached the restaurant, its charming exterior caught my eye. The warm lighting and rustic décor gave it a welcoming vibe. The staff greeted me with a smile and promptly seated me at a comfortable table. The intimate setting, with soft Italian music playing in the background, set the tone for a relaxing evening.

The Menu
Cozzo’s menu offered a wide variety of Italian dishes, from classic pasta and pizza to seafood and meat specialties. As a bonus to my surprise, you will find some special dishes from some Mediterranean countries. The descriptions made it hard to choose, but the friendly waiter helped by recommending their signature dishes.

I decided to start with a Caprese salad which I share with my companion and ordered a Lamb Tangine (Oven cooked lamb on the bone with dried fruit, nuts and vegetables served with rice) as my main course. My companion ordered the Katsu chicken (Panko breaded chicken slices, served with rice, sweet curry and cajun spice). For the wine we choose MONTEPULCIANO D’ABRUZZO RISERVA from Italy (This old vine Montepulciano has a spicy bouquet with vibrant blackberries, plums and raspberries on the palate followed by hints of vanilla, tobacco and liquorice)
The Starters
The Caprese salad arrived quickly, beautifully presented with fresh mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, and basil leaves. The drizzle of olive oil and balsamic glaze added a perfect touch. Each bite was fresh and flavourful, setting high expectations for the rest of the meal.
The Main Course
The Lamb Tagine was a masterpiece. The meat was tender nicely presented, and the tasty sauce, was rich but not overwhelming. The dish tasted authentic, just like the ones I’ve had in my visit to Morocco. The portion size was generous, leaving me satisfied but not overly full.

Dessert and Coffee
No perfect meal is complete without dessert. I chose the baklava, a classic favourite. The layers of filo pastry with pistachio nuts in between the layers and honey syrup were light and indulgent. To complement the dessert, I ordered an espresso, which was strong and aromatic, just the way I like it. My companion ordered for desert the ANTOIC KUNEFE (A Shredded pastry, fresh unsalted white cheese with honey syrup on the side)
The Service
The service at Cozzo Italian restaurant was exceptional. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. They checked on me regularly, ensuring I had everything I needed. The waiter even shared interesting stories about the origins of the dishes, adding a personal touch to the experience.
The Ambiance
The restaurant’s ambiance was cosy and inviting. The dim lighting, wooden furniture, and Italian artwork created a warm and intimate atmosphere. The gentle conversation of other guesses and the clinking of glasses enhanced the dining experience. Ιt felt like a little slice of Italy in the heart of London.
The Verdict
My visit to Cozzo Italian Restaurant was nothing short of delightful. The food was authentic and delicious, the service was impeccable, and the ambiance was perfect for a relaxing evening. I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and already planning my next visit.
