500g macaroni                                                            500g ground beef or pork                                          1 onion, finely chopped (optional)                            1 can of chopped tomatoes                                    1/4 cup of red wine (optional)                                  1 tablespoon olive oil                                                1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon                              1/2 teaspoon ground allspice                                           Salt and pepper to taste                                       2 cups of grated cheddar cheese

For the Béchamel Cream

8 tsps of plane flour                                                    3 eggs                                                                               Olive oil to make the ruex (as much as needed)

Instructions:
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced meat (beef or pork) and onion and cook until is browned and the onion is softened.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes, water, red wine, ground cinnamon, ground allspice, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  6. Place a layer of the cooked macaroni in baking dish; make sure it covers the base of the dish.
  7. Add the cooked minced meat on top and spread it in the dish on top of the makaroni.
  8. Add the rest of the macaroni on the top to cover the minced meat and pour the béchamel cream on top and spread evenly.
  9. Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
